To me Girl Up means empowerment and equality. Once I heard about Girl Up, I immediately fell in love with the organization inspiring me to start Lambert Girl Up. I started Lambert Girl Up during the 2017-2018 school year. I can't wait for next year being a leader for the ATL coalition of Girl Up and being the Lambert Girl Up President!

Hi! I am Simrit Shawla and this year’s Vice President. Being in GirlUp has taught me not only to use my voice to make a difference, but to truly believe yourself and to find your fire. In other words, find something you are passionate about and follow it!!

I joined Girl Up freshman year and I have loved being an officer and member in it ever since. I attended the state leadership conference and developed a deeper love and feeling of commitment in Girl Up. It has been an overall great experience and I hope to continue to be an excellent officer and a huge part of this club!
